But higher grade level doesn't necessarily mean better sentence, Payack said. He pointed to Palin's second-to-last sentence in the debate, which the formula put at a grade level of 18.3:
Well then guess what, that makes that CNN headline completely fucking misleading, with an obvious bias.
As soon as I saw the headline, I said to myself "I wonder if they did the same comparison to Obama and McCain?" Nope. They compare word count in the two debates within the article, but not the inflammatory headline-teasing part.

Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson is hiring as many as 10 asset-management companies to join the lawyers and bankers he is recruiting to kickstart the government's new $700 billion bank-rescue program.
Is it just me, or does this sound a ton like the plan to privatize Social Security, just in a smaller form (but not much smaller!)?
Seriously, with SS privatization, the ones who stood to reap the most from the plan were not the people who paid into SS (us taxpayers), but the money managers who would have been required to 'manage' the huge influx of money on Wall Street (and would have charged us *much* more than what the administrators of SS cost... billions of dollars in management fees is not an understatement).
Now, with this $700,000,000,000++ "bail-out" we already see money managers getting essentially the grift of this bail-out.
I think we've been screwed, and just don't realize the real how yet.

I may not post what you want me to post, I may not post what Rob wants me to post. But by golly, I sure as heck am gonna handle the posts here the way that the people of America want to hear them... err.... read them.
And by gum, if I sound like I'm from The Andy Griffith Show, well then aren't I just as cute as the dickens?

Which "non- partisan" voice was yelling support of the $700B bailout mess?? Tall order to drown- out the massive wall of reason & opposition, eh? Which giant group of fly- by- night pros stands to benefit the most? Thanks again NAR.

The following is a statement by National Association of Realtors® President Richard F. Gaylord:
“The National Association of Realtors® is truly relieved that members of the U.S. House of Representatives, like their counterparts in the Senate, were able to come together in a bipartisan effort to pass the Emergency Economic Stability Act of 2008. As we have been saying, this legislation is critical to stopping the economic turmoil that millions of Americans are facing. Today’s action will go a long way toward ending the current economic crisis crippling the housing and financial markets.
“This legislation would quickly restore liquidity to the mortgage market, which would stabilize the housing market and protect homeowners. Mortgages as well as personal and small business loans would become more available and less costly. Protecting Main Street not only benefits individuals, families and communities, but also supports the larger U.S. economy.
“We expect that the president will act quickly to sign and enact this bill. We thank President Bush for his steadfast leadership on this issue, commend all parties that worked on this legislation, and look forward to working together toward a strengthened economy for the benefit of all Americans.”
